From our family to yours… Happy Father’s Day!

Father’s Day is a significant time in the Nick’s calendar, and we celebrate it with pride and excitement. We acknowledge all the important father figures who have made sacrifices and contributions to our lives and we’d like to thank them for their love and support.

It is because of a father-son relationship that Nick’s group exists today. Our very own Nick Manettas started his working career alongside his father. He would sell seafood in the old Haymarket Fish Market at a young age. Nick and his father built a reputation supplying seafood to some of the largest hotels, airlines and restaurants nationwide. After working year in, year out with his father, Nick turned their humble family run business into a public company. From there, he went onto create his own, Nick’s Seafood Restaurant.

The celebration of Father’s is close to home for us at Nick’s group and we always ensure no Father is left short of a great time when they visit one of our venues. So, why not show Dad you love him and spoil him with a scrumptious dining experience at one of our harbour side venues? Not only does he get to devour delectable foods and down a few beers, he gets to do it amongst beautiful harbour views, whilst receiving the finest service in Darling Harbour.

We know that not all Dads have the same appetite, so here are a few suggestions for Father’s Day:

CRACKING CRUSTACEAN:

Does your dad appreciate the ocean’s finest luxuries? Look no further than Nick’s Seafood Restaurant of course! The restaurant offers an array of fresh crustaceans, a ‘sea to plate’ philosophy and is renowned for its locally sourced produce. Order the Fresh Lobster – served fresh, mornay or thermidor! Or why not share a little bit of everything and add theMoreton Bay Bugs garlic buttered to the list!Just make sure you save room for the towering ‘seafood platter’ feast – featuring the perfect combination of all of our best seafoods! We are so sure he won’t be disappointed because we know that the way to dads’ heart is the stomach!

MEAT CHOMPER:

There is no greater feeling than chomping down on a juicy, tender steak. Dad will be in‘Food Heaven’ at I’m Angus Steakhouse, offering a variety of slow cooked and grilled meats, and our famous giant pork or beef ribs. If he’s into a challenge, our 1.2kg Pinnacle tomahawk steak is the ultimate prize (don’t forget to send us pictures of his efforts!).

LOVES IT ALL:

Not picky? Cyren is the perfect place to get a great variety of everything! Offering fresh seafood, premium steaks, burgers and a traditional pizza menu, ideally paired with dad’s favourite selection of craft beer! Cyren also has an array of gorgeous desserts for the sweet-toothed Dads out there, as we all know dessert is a MUST.

Nick’s Bar and Grill is another one of our all-rounder venues, located in King Street Wharf with stupendous harbour views, allowing you to watch water travelers come and go. The menu consists of divine wines, hot and cold seafood platters, grilled fish and meats, along with plenty of other share options, making it the perfect family destination!

MEDITERRANEAN:

We know there is nothing more delicious than Mediterranean food, which is why we bring the Adriatic coast to Cockle Bay. Adria is the place for warm, hearty meals combiningMediterranean cultures with a twist. Adria offers rotisserie meats, souvlaki, pasta of all sorts and gorgeous cooked seafood; all great things to tantalize Dad’s taste buds and take him across the Mediterranean Sea. Our outdoor seating showcases the spectacular Cockle Bay Wharf, giving Dad the ultimate Father’s Day dining experience.
